May 7th-11th

Hello Families,

The Ministry of Education Exams begin this week. Thank you for reading and signing the letter Mme Lucie and I sent three weeks ago, and I would like to remind you of the following details included in that letter:

-students will need to be rested for these exams, as they required a great deal of concentration

-students need to be present, and if they are unavoidable absent, advanced notice will help me attempt to reschedule parts of the exam missed

-students should have a water bottle for class

-students may bring an extra snack for morning recess

-homework will be reduced, but revising concepts and processes discussed during the review period would be wise. Your child's math dictionary provides a good summary of key content.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Naturalist Presentation: Kat Usher from the Earthvalues Institute will be here Tuesday. Students are encouraged to bring an artifact to discuss with her (such as a robin's egg shell, a nest, or other evidence of animals around us).

Social Studies: reading homework and sheets in the duotang will be assigned this week, and a short unit quiz will take place next Monday

Music: for some light relief, we will be practicing this week in class. Recorders need to come to school.

The CSSS Nurse will be here Friday afternoon to complete the presentation on puberty.

Have a wonderful week!
